Luberry Sleep Counseling — there may be tears, but never alone

My approach

Better sleep. With you by their side.

Connection isn't something we need to sacrifice for rest. Gentle doesn't mean tear-free — it means supported.

01Supported tears are not the same as being left alone

Crying can happen with any change, even a gentle one. Your baby might feel frustrated or unsure when something familiar shifts. That's a real feeling, and it deserves to be met.

The difference is this: in my approach, your baby is never left to cope with those feelings alone. You stay close. You comfort, reassure, hold, and respond. Your baby can experience frustration and still feel loved, heard, and supported.

Many families choose other paths, and they are doing their best for their children too. This is simply for parents who want an option where they remain present.

02Night waking is normal

Babies and young children wake at night. It's part of how they're made — for feeding, for closeness, for reassurance, and because their sleep is still developing.

Our aim isn't to 'fix' your baby. It's to understand what's happening, set realistic expectations for their age and stage, and look for changes that could bring you more rest.

03Responsiveness is not a bad habit

Feeding, rocking, and cuddling to sleep aren't problems to eliminate. If they work for your family, wonderful. If they've stopped working for you, we can look at gradual, gentle adjustments — at a pace that feels manageable.

04Your family, your values

There's no single method here. We consider your baby's temperament and development, your home, your work, your feeding choices, and what feels right in your heart. Then we adapt as we go.

05Safe sleep, always

Everything we explore sits within recognised safe-sleep guidance: babies sleep on their backs, on a firm flat surface, in a smoke-free space, without loose bedding, pillows or bumpers. If you bed-share, we can talk about how to do so as safely as possible.

Sleep counseling is educational support, not medical treatment. If you have any concerns about your baby's health, feeding or growth — or your own mental health — please talk to your doctor, midwife or health visitor.

"I won't promise you a tear-free journey. I'll help you find a way forward that respects your baby's needs, your instincts, and your need for rest."
